For the past thirty years, INPUT (International Public Television) has brought together people from around the world to screen and debate the most creative and controversial public interest television programs. Consistent with the goals of RCTV-15, INPUT is dedicated to the proposition that television should be public service in the public interest; and that access to the most honest, innovative, provocative, courageous and challenging broadcasting is a universal fundamental human right. INPUT’s annual international conference is among the most prestigious events for public television worldwide. The entries represent sixty countries and the programs are chosen by a jury of television professionals including RCTV-15 General Manager Carvin Eison. INPUT, like RCTV-15, also facilitates local events and promotes the work and professional development of local producers.
Carvin Eison has been a part of INPUT since 2006 when he was first invited to join the American delegation to the conference. Now he is one of a small group of international television program-makers and producers who evaluate and select films for the conference from hundreds of submissions from around the world.
RCTV-15 is proud to host The Best of Input, Television From Around the World, to bring these outstanding public television programs to Rochester audiences. RCTV-15 will present three community screenings, and will air some of the programs on Channel 15.
